Fidenzo Urcino, 20, was found stabbed multiple times early Saturday morning outside an apartment complex at 1501 W. 2320 South in West Valley City.

Officers responded to the scene on a call of shots fired at about 2:20 a.m. When they arrived, they found the victim lying on the sidewalk bleeding heavily, according to a press release from West Valley City police.

Several witnesses at the complex told police there was a fight.

Candelario turned himself at the West Valley City Police Station Monday. He was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail on one count of criminal homicide and obstruction of justice, a second-degree felony.

In connection to this case, Xavier Anderson was also booked into jail on obstruction of justice, a second-degree felony.

“This case is believed to be gang related, however, the level of gang involvement is still being investigated,” the release states.
