MAGNA, Utah – Police were asking for the public’s help in locating a missing and endangered 2-year-old child who they said was taken from his home by a non-custodial family member, but a short time after issuing the press release police announced the child had been found and was being reunited with his family.
Unified Police Department personnel were looking for 2-year-old Isaak Anthony Blackbear, who was last seen around 3:40 p.m. Thursday when he was taken from his home. Police stated at 9:31 p.m. the child had been found and is in the process of being reunited with his mother.
Police stated the boy was taken from a home in Magna located at 3717 South Deer Valley Drive. Isaak was believed to be with his father’s aunt, 42-year-old Erika Gallegos. It was not clear if the child was with Gallegos when he was located.
