SALT LAKE CITY – Police in Salt Lake City were trying to locate two missing siblings, ages 5 and 7, who were last seen Sunday afternoon, but just after 8:30 p.m. officials stated the children had been located.

At about 8:35 p.m., Salt Lake City police stated the two children had been found safely about a mile from their home. They live in the area of 1335 West and 800 South and were located in the area of 1500 West and 400 South.

Police were in the process of reuniting the children with their family Sunday night, and FOX 13 News' Robert Boyd was at the scene. See the video above for his live report.

Police said the children had wandered off without telling anyone.

According to SLC PD, the children are 5-year-old Leili Johnson and 7-year-old Ky-Mani Johnson. The brother and sister pair went missing from 1335 West 800 South and were last seen sometime before noon Sunday.

Heiden said this is not the first time the kids have left without telling anyone, but she said this is the first time they have been gone for so long, which is why they requested assistance.
