MURRAY, Utah -- A video sent to FOX 13 Friday shows a semi-trailer running over a box spring on northbound I-15 Thursday morning.
It happened near 6600 S. shortly after 11 a.m.
The box spring caused a rupture in the truck's fuel tank, forcing Utah Highway Patrol officials to close the freeway as haz-mat crews cleaned up the fuel spill.
The incident caused delays in traffic for several hours.
UHP initially diverted traffic off the freeway at 7200 S., but gradually opened lanes to allow traffic through.
The scene was completely cleared by 4 p.m.
