SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah — A man died Sunday afternoon when he crashed a motorcycle on U.S. 40 in Summit County.
It happened around 4 p.m. near mile marker 31. A witness told Utah Highway Patrol officials the motorcyclist was traveling at a high rate of speed while passing another vehicle on the right.
According to UHP, the victim failed to negotiate a left turn and struck a guard rail on the right side of the road. He was thrown from the motorcycle. He was not wearing a helmet.
The victim’s name has not been released.
