SALT LAKE CITY — While they were ranked as highly as No. 3 at one point this season, the Utes fell to No. 13 after their sole loss of the year so far. Now, after a win over Washington, the Utes are back in the Top 10.
According to the AP Top 25 Poll for Week 11, the University of Utah is now ranked No. 10, moving up three places after defeating the Huskies in Seattle Saturday.
Despite a close match-up that at one point featured a one-point margin late in the game, Utah reignited in the fourth quarter to win 34-23 in Seattle.
In Week 11, the Top 5 in descending order are: Clemson, Ohio State, Alabama, Baylor and Oklahoma State (who upset TCU Saturday and jumped to No. 5 from No. 12.)
Utah, now 8-1 overall and 5-1 in conference play, will take the field next on Saturday, November 14, when they take on Arizona in Tucson. That game is scheduled for 8 p.m.
The Utes’ 5-1 conference record gives them a one game lead over UCLA (7-2 overall, 4-2 in conference) and USC (6-3 overall, 4-2 in conference) for the PAC-12 South.
