66-year-old Sandy man lost control, killed in crash on I-80 near Lambs Canyon

SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah — The Utah Highway Patrol has identified the man killed in the accident on I-80 near Lambs Canyon  as 66-year-old Terrance J. Huffman of Sandy.

Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Todd Royce said a Huffman was headed westbound on I-80 when he lost control and slid off the freeway Wednesday at about 8 p.m.

According to UHP, the truck hit the center median wall east of the overpass and traveled along the grass/dirt median until it vaulted over Lambs Canyon Rd. and landed on its roof on the north concrete freeway abutment.

Huffman was killed on impact.

It is not clear what caused him to lose control.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
