SALT LAKE CITY – Parts of Utah can expect a white Christmas in 2015, as the Christmas Eve forecast calls for snow in much of the Beehive State.
Valleys and benches in the Salt Lake County area could see between 1 and 4 inches of snow, and 8 to 16 inches are expected in mountain areas in northern Utah. Utah County should see between 1 and 3 inches.
Snow is also possible in southern Utah, and St. George could see traces of snow and up to a full inch.
Southeast Utah, including areas like Blanding and Monticello, could see between 4 and 8 inches of snow. Mountains in central and southern Utah, including Bryce Canyon, could see up to 24 inches of snow.
A winter weather advisory is in effect until 4 p.m. Friday.
