Helicopter touring company vandalized in southern Utah

HURRICANE, Utah — Authorities are investigating a vandalism report at a helicopter touring company in southern Utah that left thousands of dollars in damage.

At about 9 a.m. Saturday, Hurricane police received a report of vandalism at Zion Helicopters, according to a press release from Hurricane police.

“It appears someone used rocks to break windows and cause damage to two business vehicles, the building and the helicopter,” the release states.

Authorities suspect the damage was done between Friday night and this morning. Approximately $80,000 to $100,000 of property and equipment was damaged.

Zion Helicopters offers flights around Zion National Park and other southern Utah sites.
