SANDY, Utah – Two people are on the run after robbing Sandy Stop Gas Station at gun point Wednesday shortly after 7 a.m.
Police say the suspect went into the convenience store on 7820 S. and 700 E. approached the clerk with a handgun.
The man demanded money and then left the store in a truck that was ready and waiting for him.
Police said the robbery suspect is described as a white man in his mid 40s wearing a plaid flannel shirt; the getaway truck driver is described as a Hispanic woman.
According to police, the suspects were last seen driving a late 1990s Ford F-150 pickup truck with an elk horns sticker centered on the rear window.
The front drivers side wheel did not match the other wheels so officials suspect that it could be running on a spare tire.
Police have not disclosed how much money the suspect was able to steal.
If anyone has information about the robbery or was there when it happened, contact Sandy Police Department.
