OGDEN, Utah — Ogden police and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints seek the public’s help in locating a missing fulltime sister missionary.

Sister Heeji Nada Kang, 20, is serving in the Utah Ogden Mission. She was last seen Monday evening when she left her Ogden apartment on foot, according to a press release from the LDS Church.

“No foul play is suspected, but Sister Kang was emotionally distressed when she was last seen,” the release states.

While police have no evidence of her leaving the Ogden area, police say, they are investigating the possibility Kang became homesick and could be headed home to Houston, Texas.

Anyone with information on Kang’s whereabouts is asked to call Detective Lewis with Ogden Police Department at 801-629-8438 or at Ogden Police Department Dispatch, 801-395-8221.
