SALT LAKE CITY – Authorities have reopened I-15 near 800 S. after a semi truck crashed early Friday morning.
The Utah Highway Patrol said the truck, carrying two trailers, lost control while traveling southbound near 800 S. at about 2 a.m.
Troopers said the rear trailer detached, rolled and then hit another car.
The front trailer and cab then swerved and crashed into the cement median.
This blocked multiple lanes for several hours while crews cleaned up.
Both drivers had minor injuries.
Troopers said they’re not sure if the crash was weather-related or due to faulty equipment.
