1,585 new cases and eight new deaths in Sunday's report from Utah Department of Health

New Cases
1,585 new cases have been reported, for a total of 323,837.

Testing
7,199 additional tests have been reported, for a total of 1,902,260. The rolling seven-day average of positive cases is now 2,209, or roughly 22.6%

Hospitalizations
557 people are currently hospitalized with COVID-19. In total, 12,518 have been hospitalized since March.

Deaths
Eight additional deaths have been reported, for a total of 1,493. The newly reported deaths include:

7 males:

  • between 45-64, Utah County resident, hospitalized at time of death
  • between 65-84, Carbon County resident, hospitalized at time of death
  • between 45-64, Utah County resident, hospitalized at time of death
  • between 65-84, Millard County resident, hospitalized at time of death
  • between 65-84, Utah County resident, hospitalized at time of death
  • between 65-84, Washington County resident, hospitalized at time of death
  • older than 85, Washington County resident, hospitalized at time of death

1 female:

  • between 65-84, Iron County resident, long-term care facility resident

Vaccines
4,661 additional vaccines have been administered, for a total of 157,170. Note: “Doses Administered” is the number of vaccine doses that have been given to people and reported to the UDOH. There will be a lag between when vaccines are shipped, administered to a person, and finally reported to the UDOH.
