PROVO, Utah — Almost two full weeks into the fall semester, BYU officials are reporting 258 total COVID-19 cases among the school's students, faculty and staff.
The current 258 cases represents 0.6 percent of the campus community, according to the report released by the university. During the second week of classes, a total of 141 cases were reported; 24 more than the first week of school.

There are 218 active cases with 40 cases no longer in isolation. Active cases are those where individuals who have tested positive are in isolation.
Just over 20 cases of COVID-19 are currently being recorded on a daily basis at the school.
