DRAPER, Utah — The Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) announced Friday that the DMV Office located at 14555 South Minuteman Drive, Draper, will reopen Monday, July 20.

The office was closed on July 13, to reduce the possible spread of COVID-19 after an employee tested positive.

“The office has been deep cleaned, sterilized and employees have been cleared to return to work” said Monte Roberts, Division Director.

Roberts also wants the public to know that many motor vehicle needs can be met by DMV online services.

However, for customers that are not able to process their motor vehicle transactions online and need to visit the South Valley office, or other Wasatch Front DMV offices, an appointment will be required.

Customers coming to a DMV office who will be paying with cash are encouraged to be prepared to pay with exact change. Due to the pandemic, obtaining large amounts of change from banks has become difficult, and has made it hard to give exact change with cash payments.
