More than 1,000 new COVID-19 cases reported daily in Utah for the second weekend in a row

For the second weekend in a row, Utah has seen more than 1,000 COVID-19 cases daily.

New Cases
The Utah Department of Health is reporting 1,393 new cases, for a total of 77,618 in Utah since March.

Tests Given
8,214 additional people have been tested since Saturday’s report, bringing the statewide total tests to 860,894.
The rolling seven-day average of positive cases is 998 per day, or roughly 13.7% of those tested.

Recoveries
Roughly 57,392 of Utah’s cases are considered recovered, having contracted the virus three weeks ago and not passing away as a result of it.

Hospitalizations
175 people are currently hospitalized in connection to the virus. 3,980 people have been hospitalized since March.

Deaths
Two new deaths have been reported, bringing Utah's death toll to 478. Both were residents of Washington County between the ages of 65 and 84.
