Thursday's updated coronavirus numbers released by the state health department

SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Department of Health has released updated numbers regarding the coronavirus in Utah.

One more person has died, bringing the total to 35.

There are now 3,612 confirmed cases in Utah, up 167 from yesterday's 3,445.

There have been 301 hospitalizations, up 13 from the last report.

80,627 people have now been tested for COVID-19. That's 4,167 more than Wednesday's count.

State Epidemiologist, Dr. Angela Dunn, will go over those numbers in the daily media briefing at 1:30 p.m.

Governor Gary Herbert will also attend the briefing and talk about efforts to support Utah's multicultural community which is seeing disproportionate impacts from the virus.

The news conference will be live streamed on the Fox 13 Facebook page.
