Total Utah COVID-19 cases surpasses 250,000 in Sunday's UDOH case count

More than 250,000 Utahn's have now tested positive for COVID-19 since March.

New Cases
1,994 new cases have been reported. That brings the statewide total to 250,964.

Testing
8,663 new tests have been administered. 1,642,559 people in Utah have now been tested for COVID-19.
The rolling seven-day average of positive tests is now 2,442, or roughly 22.76% of those tested.

Hospitalizations
557 people are currently hospitalized. 10,039 people have been hospitalized in Utah since the pandemic began.

Deaths
7 new deaths have been reported, bringing the statewide total to 557. The newly reported deaths include:

  • Male, between 65-84, Iron County resident, hospitalized at time of death
  • Female, between 65-84, Morgan County resident, hospitalized at time of death
  • Female, between 65-84, Salt Lake County resident, hospitalized at time of death
  • Male, between 65-84, Salt Lake County resident, long-term care facility resident
  • Male, between 45-64, Sanpete County resident, hospitalized at time of death
  • Female, between 65-84, Utah County resident, hospitalized at time of death
  • Male, between 65-84, Washington County resident, hospitalized at time of death

Vaccines
3,648 vaccines have been administered. 23,400 have been shipped. These are the same numbers included in Saturday's case count.
