Police say Mike Perez, 23, placed a shotgun on the table Wednesday and turned it towards his mother before shooting the woman in the neck.

Officers found the woman deceased at the table with a single gunshot wound.
After the shooting, Perez's 17-year-old sister ran from the home and called her older sister to let her know what had happened. The teen said she believed her 14-year-old sister knew what was going to happen as she saw Perez nod to the younger girl before shooting their mother.
The 17-year-old says after the shooting, Perez grabbed the 14-year-old and the two began to dance. According to the sister, Perez had been supplying the younger girl with marijuana, while her brother had been "meditating a lot where he claims to go to different dimensions and talking about a lot of bad people."
Police say the 14-year-old sister was acting strange and that the girl had been with Perez when he purchased two guns in Provo on Tuesday. She told police she did not know her brother would shoot their mother.

According to the police report, the 14-year-old girl showed no emotion during the interview and smiled when she remembered dancing with Perez after the shooting took place.
Police found Perez acting unresponsive in a bathtub in the basement of the home, with the shotgun leaning up against the tub.
Perez was charged with aggravated murder.
