SWEETWATER COUNTY, Wyo. — Three people are dead as a result of two crashes that occurred Sunday on Interstate 80 in Wyoming with more than 100 vehicles involved.
The crashes occurred Sunday afternoon between mileposts 181 and 184 near Creston, according to the Wyoming Highway Patrol. Multiple other people were injured in the crashes that troopers say were likely caused by weather.
Eastbound and westbound lanes remain closed as of Monday afternoon as troopers investigate the crashes.
WHP said the highway is expected to be open sometime Tuesday afternoon.
