JUAB COUNTY, Utah — A man's body has been recovered after drowning at Yuba Lake State Park Saturday.
According to State Park officials, two men fell from a personal watercraft at about 9:30 a.m. One resurfaced, but the other failed to resurface after struggling to stay afloat.
A witness called 911 from the shore. Search teams from Yuba, Utah Lake, and Palisade state parks used sonar and recovered the man's body around 5:30 p.m. Others from Juab and Sanpete Counties, the Utah Highway Patrol dive team and Levan Ambulance also assisted.
The man has been identified as 22-year-old* Luis Leon from Springville, Utah.
*Authorities earlier reported that the man was 21 before later updating the information.
