SALT LAKE CITY — The City Creek Center in downtown Salt Lake City was closed Thursday afternoon after learning that a shopper with COVID-19 was there on Tuesday.

"Out of an abundance of caution, City Creek Center is closing today, effective immediately," the mall tweeted Thursday.
The shopping center will be "thouroughly cleaned and disinfected" Thursday, and is expected to reopen Friday.
City Creek offices and residences remained open.
