Propane tanker involved in I-84 accident near Echo Reservoir

HENEFER, Utah — Authorities evacuated everyone within a mile of an accident that left a propane tanker hanging over a bridge on Interstate 84 near Echo Reservoir.

The tanker was involved in an accident at the intersection of Interstate 84 and Interstate 80. Park City Fire officials say there were no injuries in the accident.

Officials say the truck was carrying 10,000 gallons of propane tank and the driver was reporting a leak.

Summit County says the driver had just exited westbound Interstate 80 onto 84 when he crashed.

Aftermath of Propane Tanker Crash

In a video sent to FOX 13 by Robert Duncan, the aftermath of the crash can be seen by a group approaching on the highway. The truck driver is seen running from the vehicle and warning people to get away.

All traffic heading into the area was closed off to vehicles as the propane was offloaded, but all of I-80 is now open.
