WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah — A gas leak at the intersection of 3500 South and Redwood Road is causing multiple lane closures Monday afternoon.
Two lanes are open on northbound Redwood, one southbound lane open.
Westbound 3500 South is closed at the intersection, but eastbound is open.
According to Don Porter with Dominion Energy, a contractor hit a main line, causing the leak, and it may be 4-5 hours until it is repaired.
Utah Department of Transportation advises avoiding the area if possible.
