Evacuations lifted as crews battle wildfire in Sanpete County

INDIANOLA, Utah -- A wildfire burning in Indianola, Sanpete County, forced evacuations Saturday that have now been lifted.

The "Indian Ridge Fire" is estimated at 20 acres as of Saturday at 7 p.m., according to the Sanpete County Sheriff's Office.

The Indian Ridge subdivision was under evacuation, while the Elk Ridge subdivision was under pre-evacuation warning. As of 8:30 p.m., all evacuations were lifted.

North Indian Ridge Road is closed and will remain closed overnight, authorities say.

The fire is burning grass and brush and is spreading due to wind.

The cause has not been determined.
