SALT LAKE CITY — A man was stabbed Sunday morning after he and another man got into a fight on a TRAX train in downtown Salt Lake City.
According to police, the men were on the northbound green line train at about 10:30 a.m. when the altercation broke out. They both exited the train at 450 S. Main Street after the incident. The 58-year-old man who was stabbed was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The 41-year-old suspect left the scene, but later returned to the station and was arrested. No names were released.
The incident caused delays to TRAX service as the southbound track was the only one in use temporarily. The train where the stabbing occurred will be taken to the Utah Transit Authority shop where evidence will be collected, and the area will be cleaned and sanitized.
