One person is in the hospital in serious condition after being hit by a vehicle on I-15.
According to Utah Highway Patrol, the first call reporting the pedestrian on the freeway came in just before 1:00 a.m. Sunday morning, and the accident was reported a short time later.
The accident happened near mile marker 271, or Orem Center Street. Northbound I-15 was closed for approximately 2.5 hours, and the pedestrian was transported to an area hospital via medical helicopter.
At the time of reporting, he remains in serious condition.
