DUCHESNE COUNTY, Utah — A 59-year-old man has died after a tanker truck rollover accident in Arcadia on Friday night.
Duchesne County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the accident near 13000 West and 3800 South around 10:40 p.m.
The driver of the truck was deceased when authorities arrived. Authorities have identified him as Kevin Olin Nye from Roosevelt.
According to authorities, a small amount of production water spilled from the tank the truck was pulling into a field.
Production water is a byproduct of oil and natural gas extraction.
The trucking company will be financially responsible for any cleanup that is required.
An investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing. Authorities do not believe there were any witnesses at the time of the accident.
