SALT LAKE CITY — A goat that was stolen from Cross E Ranch Saturday night has been returned safely home.

The ranch, a popular destination for visitors located in northwestern Salt Lake City, posted on Facebook early Sunday afternoon that "Isty" the goat was stolen the previous night.

"Bring her back," they wrote to anyone who knew where the goat was or who had her. "She belongs with her other 2 sisters."

The post was shared more than 500 times in just a few hours before the ranch posted an update that Isty was home. They didn't provide details on how they got her back, but earlier had written that they'd contacted police and had camera footage of a young couple stealing the goat shortly after 8 p.m. during their annual Fall Festival.

"We couldn’t have done it without all of your support!! Seriously we have the best people on our side!!! She is happy to be back!! We love our Isty!!!" the post announcing the happy news read.
