MARION COUNTY, Oregon — A Utah teen died Sunday in a boating accident in Oregon.
On Monday, the girl's family identified her as 13-year-old Bailey Monson.
At about 3:40 p.m., the Bailey was at Detroit Lake with family when the top of a large tree fell onto two pontoon-style boats tethered together near the shoreline, according to the Marion County Sheriff's Office.
Bailey was taken by boat to Mongold State Park for help. When emergency responders arrived, CPR was being administered, but she was ultimately declared dead at the scene.
