SPANISH FORK, Utah — The 29-year-old son of a Spanish Fork couple found dead inside their home in 2023 has been ordered to stand trial for their deaths.
Tryston Erickson is scheduled to appear in court again on June 10, he faces 2 charges of aggravated murder, obstruction of justice, and theft, among others.
According to Spanish Fork police, the bodies of Timothy Parker and Jeannie Parker were found shot inside their home in the area of 2200 East and 1400 South after police were given a call for a welfare check.
Officers unsuccessfully attempted to contact the victim by cellphone before finding an unlocked window and entering the house. Inside, police found the Parkers' bodies.
Erickson allegedly took his parents' Hyundai Elantra following the murders and was located near Steamboat Springs after police pinged his mother's phone's location. Police then spotted him driving the missing Hyundai about 50 miles away near Kremmling.
Officers attempted to pull Erickson over, but he led them on a pursuit. The pursuit eventually ended and Erickson was taken into custody.
