MAGNA, Utah — Utah Division of Wildlife Resources officials hope someone can help them identify those responsible for illegally killing two buck deer in Magna earlier this month.

According to a news release from DWR, the two deer were shot to death with a small-caliber rifle near 8400 W 4100, less than 100 yards from Bacchus Hwy.

Both deer are believed to have been killed between September 12 and September 14.

Anyone with information on the poachings is urged to contact DWR Officer Nick Vidrine at 385-335-0093.

Tips regarding illegal wildlife activity are also accepted via the UTip Hotline at 1-800-662-3337 and on this web page: https://wildlife.utah.gov/report-a-poacher.html

"Rewards are available and requests for confidentiality are respected," the news release said.

Last year, DWR officers confirmed 1,080 animals, valued at over $406,500, were killed illegally.
