KANE COUNTY, Utah -- A wildfire is threatening camping trailers in Kane County.
The "Strawberry Fire" near Bowers Flat, north of Mammoth Creek and northeast of Duck Creek Village, was reported around 2 p.m. Monday and was 70 acres at the latest estimate with no containment. The cause is currently unknown.
Officials initially announced that evacuations were being initiated, but later announced that none were in effect. Utah Wildfire Information stated that camp trailers in the area were threatened.
Air tankers and helicopters are assisting ground crews in the effort to set up containment.
