LOGAN, Utah — The employees of Zurchers party supply store in Logan are in no mood to party after the building flooded Thursday.

A broken 6-inch waterline caused the massive flood inside the store located at 1475 N. Main St.

The store manager, Jessica Greenland, called 911 after she saw up to a foot of water against the front door when she arrived in the morning. Greenland's first day as store manager was Thursday.

"As I was pulling up I saw water around our building on the ground and I thought that was kind of weird," said Greenland. "I just assumed it was water flowing off the roof or something like that."

"I got to the front door and saw a foot of water. So much water."

Logan City Deputy Fire Marshal Aaron Walker says because the waterline was underground, it went undetected until the employees arrived. Walker says the break could have been caused by a big loading dock over the waterline.

A store employee says the store could be closed for a month as the concrete floors will have to be dug up to repair the waterline.
