EL MIRAGE, Ariz. — Parents who bought a glow worm doll for their daughter received an unexpected surprise when they brought the toy home.
Inside the doll they had bought at an Arizona thrift store, the parents found 5,000 pills that police believe is the dangerous drug known as fentanyl.
The Phoenix Police Department said they received a call from the parents after the couple found the pills stashed inside a sandwich bag inside the doll.
In a social media post Saturday, police warned others to "inspect all opened and used items."
