Two men arrested in connection with deadly stabbing in West Valley City

WEST VALLEY CITY — Police have arrested two men in connection with a deadly stabbing near 3965 South and 3515 West on Tuesday night.

Officers say the victim, 26-year-old Troy Carter, and some other people gave a ride to the suspects around 9 p.m. and at some point an argument broke out near Peachwood Park in West Valley City and the victim was stabbed multiple times.

Police say the two suspects, 20-year-old Colton Kloepfer and 19-year-old Maison Pullman, ran from the scene.

Meanwhile, Carter was taken to the hospital by a friend, but he died around 1:30 on Wednesday morning.

Investigators say they tracked down Kloepfer and Pullman to a house in Kearns at 5575 West and 5430 South.

Police say they arrested the two men there and they say they found evidence at the home connected to the stabbing.

West Valley City Police say Kloepfer and Pullman were booked into jail for murder.
