East Central Beaver County in southern Utah...
* Until 900 PM MDT.
* At 648 PM MDT, Beaver County law enforcement cameras show another
debris flow surge moving down the Beaver River which will impact
the Grove area and points downstream imminently. The debris flow
in North Creek has moved through the area and flows are
diminishing. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. Flash
flooding is already occurring.
Excessive rainfall over the burn scar will result in another debris
flow surge moving through the Beaver River. The debris flow can
consist of rock, mud, vegetation and other loose materials.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
producing flash flooding in and around the Cottonwood
Burn Scar.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of areas in and around
the Cottonwood Burn Scar in Beaver County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
This is a life threatening situation. Heavy rainfall will cause
extensive and severe flash flooding of creeks...streams...and
ditches in the Cottonwood Burn Scar. Severe debris flows can also be
anticipated across roads. Roads and driveways may be washed away in
places. If you encounter flood waters...climb to safety.
Move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life.
Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become
unstable and unsafe.
