Boy Scouts go door-to-door collecting food donations

Posted

Last week members of the Boy Scout of America walked to as many residential homes as they could handing out food donation bags. This Saturday they came by to collect for those in need.

The Boy Scout’s Scouting for Food Drive collected a good deal of non-perishable food items – for some food pantries it is food that will last them for nearly the whole year.

The service the Scouts provide has been going on for 26 years. Hundreds of drop-off centers throughout the state are involved to provide for dozens of food pantries in Utah.
