Man turns self in for alleged arson in Lost Lake Fire

WAYNE COUNTY, Utah – A man facing arson charges for allegedly igniting the Lost Lake Fire in Wayne County has turned himself in to officials.

38-year-old Lance Durfey allegedly ignited the fire in multiple spots, possibly with a cigarette lighter. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

Durfey turned himself into police then bonded out of jail.

The fire broke out on June 5 in the Dixie National Forest. It burned 2,000 acres and cost more than $3 million to fight.
