JUAB COUNTY, Utah – A man is in custody after police located a marijuana grow in rural Juab County on Wednesday. The grow consisted of over 5,000 plants and is estimated to be worth over $5 million.
The Juab County Sheriff’s Office says the grow was discovered by hunters who had been hunting in the area during winter and recognized it as a possible old marijuana grow. An investigation determined that the location was the site of a successful grow last year and an active grow this year.
Omar Bargass, 22, from Mexico, was arrested for allegedly growing the marijuana and is now facing federal prosecution.
