Construction season is in full swing and work continues throughout the state. This weekend, night work may delay nighttime travel.

SALT LAKE COUNTY:

In Salt Lake City, a repaving project is underway on 500 South between 200 West and I-15. Drivers should expect lane restrictions from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day while crews prepare to remove the old pavement.

The south interchange in Murray will have ramp closures each night this weekend on the I-15 and I-215 ramps. Crews are making concrete repairs - so watch for closures beginning at 11 o'clock each night.

The northbound I-15 to westbound I-215 ramp is scheduled to close tonight from 11 p.m. to 8 a.m. The ramp from northbound I-15 to eastbound I-215 will also be restricted to one lane during that time.

The northbound I-15 off-ramp to 7200 South will close tonight from 11 p.m. to 8 a.m.
On Saturday, the ramp from westbound I-215 to southbound I-15 will close from 11 p.m. to 8 a.m.

Eastbound SR-201 to northbound I-15 will close Sunday between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.
Crews are also working on southbound I-15 between 600 North and 400 South, and between 7800 South and 10600 South. Plan ahead for these restrictions, which begin each night as early as 9 p.m.

PARLEYS CANYON:

In Parleys Canyon, lane restrictions are scheduled on eastbound I-80 between Lambs Canyon and Parleys Summit beginning as early as 7 p.m. on weeknights and 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

All lanes will reopen by 6 a.m. Crews are completing a new climbing lane for trucks that will improve traffic between Salt Lake City and the summit.

Work will continue on I-80 until early fall.

UTAH COUNTY:

The southbound off-ramp at University Avenue in Provo is scheduled to close tonight at 10 p.m. for paving and will reopen Monday morning at 5:30 a.m. While the ramp is closed, drivers can use the Provo Center Street or Springville 1400 North exit instead.

Several more nighttime closures are scheduled next week so workers can complete paving on various on- and off-ramps in Provo, Springville and Spanish Fork.

Drivers should plan ahead for possible lane restrictions each night. These closures are necessary to help us meet our aggressive timeline and finish the project by December.

All construction work depends on weather and other conditions. For the latest on UDOT closures and restrictions, visit www.udot.utah.gov, follow @UtahDOTon twitter, utahdot on Facebook or download one of the free UDOT apps for iPhone and Android.
