A new high school that takes a non-traditional approach to learning is opening in Salt Lake City this August.
Innovations High Schoolis part of the public school system and is open to students in the Salt Lake City School District.
Students create a “Personalized Education Plan” which is designed to meet the needs of the student as they work toward graduation, a career and/or college, according to the school’s website.
Students are required to be on campus four hours each school day, but can attend between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., according to their website.
The school says their focus is to assist students in planning and successfully meeting their personalized education goals.
