WEBER COUNTY, Utah -- Snowbasin Ski Patrol discovered a body near the antenna towers at the top of Mount Ogden in Weber County on Tuesday.
Members of the ski patrol immediately turned the case over to the authorities. Lt. Mark Lowther of the Weber County Sheriff's Office said they have recovered the body.
"We did recover the body of a male individual," he said. "He appears to be in his 20s or 30s."
Lowther said the man had probably been there for a while, and he wasn't dressed for the cold weather.
"He was dressed not, in like, ski recreation type clothing," Lowther said. "He doesn't appear to have been a skier. He was not dressed for the current conditions up on the mountain today."
Lowther said they are still investigating the cause of death, and there were no immediately obvious explanations.
