Police seeking person of interest in Midvale triple murder

MIDVALE, Utah -- Police are searching for a person of interest in connection with the triple murder that occurred in Midvale on February 12.

Davis Romney Fotu was identified by the Unified Police Department as a person of interest in the case on Tuesday, according to a press release from UPD. Investigators are still working to determine Fotu’s role in the incident.

According to court documents, Fotu has a history of criminal charges, including robbery, attempted theft, aggravated assault, assault by a prisoner, purchase/possession of a dangerous weapon and retaliation against a witness.

Two days before the murder, Fotu and another man allegedly beat and flashed a fun at a motel owner in Salt Lake City, according to police. Fotu was charged and released.

One suspect, David Fresques, has already been arrested in connection with the murders.

Police identified the victims in the shooting as Omar Jarman, 35; Shontay Young, 34; and Danielle Lucero, 26.
