MOAB, Utah -- Two juveniles have been arrested in connection with a homicide in Grand County.

Grand County Sheriff Steve White said they received information on Saturday regarding a missing person that had been reported to the Moab Police Department on March 29. He said a tip led them to find the remains of the missing man. The man was found in the Colorado River.

“When we followed through on the information it led to the point where we able to recover the remains of Mr. Campos, and then we were also able to take two juvenile males into custody. At this time they were charged each with one count of homicide.”

According to documents from the 7th District Court in Moab, Charles Anthony Nelson and Brody Blu Kruckenburg were each charged with one felony count of first degree murder and one count of obstructing justice, which is a second-degree felony. The two will be charged as adults.

Police identified the victim as 33-year-old Gregorio Salazar Campos. White said Campos has lived in Moab for several years. White said the incident occurred at the outskirts of Moab.

White said they are not releasing details about the cause of death until they have more information from the autopsy report.
