VERNAL, Utah – Dinosaur bone replicas stolen from the Utah Field House of Natural History have been returned. The theft was a misunderstanding, according to a curator of the museum.
The Diplodocus femurs were taken by a man who does landscaping for the museum and said someone told him he could take them for his kids. When the man heard the story on the radio, he returned the bones to the museum.
Now the complete replica skeleton of the Diplodocus will be sent to the prehistoric museum in Price.
