Man arrested after offering to help place bombs at SLC Marathon

SALT LAKE CITY — Salt Lake City Police arrested a man after he sent an email in which he offered to help place bombs at the finish line of the Salt Lake City Marathon.

George Hodgson Zinn was arrested in Salt Lake City after he sent an email to the SLC Marathon Marketing Group, “requesting to help place bombs at the finish line of the SLC Marathon,” according to a probable cause statement from the Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

Zinn was arrested on one count of terroristic threats to a governmental unit, which is a felony.
