(CNN) — A single winner has come forward to claim the nearly $591 million Powerball lottery prize from the May 18 drawing, Florida Lottery officials said Wednesday.
The winner will be announced at 2 p.m. ET in Tallahassee, lottery manager Mike Percell told CNN. But she won’t be attending the news conference, he said.
The winning ticket was sold at a grocery store in Zephyrhills, Florida, north of Tampa. The May 18 drawing was the second-largest lottery prize in U.S. history.
