SALT LAKE CITY -- "American Idol" hopefuls gathered at EnergySolutions Arena Wednesday to sign up and audition for the FOX singing competition.
Wednesday's events included the paper-work portion of the audition process. Potential contestants registered with the producers all morning, securing a spot in Thursday's official auditions.
"If I could get to the top 24 I would be perfectly fine," contestant hopeful Autumn Jae said. "I just want some exposure."
"American Idol" auditions came to Utah in 2011. Producers of the show said Utah often gives them rising stars.
