At approximately 3 a.m. a 28-year-old man reportedly broke into a woman’s house on the 800 East block of Pineway Drive. Once in the house, Murray Police Sgt. Jake Huggard, said the suspect raped her and stole her wallet, which contained $120.

The victim, age 58, was transported to an area hospital. She did not suffer substantial physical injuries, Huggard said.

The suspect was apprehended later this morning. His name is not being released at this time to protect the victim, police said.
